IndentiaLocal

Index the knowledge that never left the laptop.

A large share of an organization's knowledge lives outside the data centre — on personal laptops, on NAS devices at remote sites, in capture mailboxes. IndentiaLocal brings those files into the platform without copying them out of their home environment.

Capabilities

An edge agent built for sovereign environments.

Local-first by design

Files stay where they live — on the laptop, the NAS, or the branch-office server. Only embeddings and metadata travel to the platform, never the raw documents.

On-device embeddings

A local ONNX runtime computes embeddings on the device itself. Sensitive content never crosses the network in clear form, even when indexing is in progress.

Encrypted credential vault

Archive passwords, SMB credentials and source-system secrets are stored in a per-device encrypted vault — synchronised to the platform vault over signed WebSocket.

Signed self-updates

Every binary is signed with minisign. The agent verifies the signature before any update is applied — supply-chain integrity you can audit.

Same identity, same rules

IndentiaLocal authenticates through your IdP — Keycloak, Authentik, Azure AD or ADFS. The same ABAC rules that protect the central platform apply on the edge.

Works offline, syncs when online

Indexing continues without an internet connection. When the link comes back, the agent reconciles its state with the platform using W3C trace-context for end-to-end visibility.

Form factors

One agent. Three shapes.

Desktop

Tauri-based client for Windows, macOS and Linux. Multi-profile configuration so consultants can serve more than one customer from one laptop.

NAS & small servers

Container image with a healthz endpoint and a one-shot bootstrap flow. Drop it on a Synology, QNAP or any Linux box; it joins the platform after a single onboarding code.

Edge gateway

Connects local file shares, capture mailboxes and OT bridges to the central platform over a NATS event mesh — without opening inbound ports on the local network.

Where it fits

Reach without retreat.

Most "enterprise AI" projects stall at the moment the central cluster has to absorb every file on every laptop. IndentiaLocal turns that constraint into a non-issue: knowledge becomes searchable where it lives, under the same access rules as everything else in the platform.

  • Field offices and remote sites — index a branch server without backhauling terabytes of files.
  • Consultants and external collaborators — give access to platform search on customer data without ever centralising that data.
  • Air-gapped or low-bandwidth environments — embed on-device, sync the index when the network allows.
  • Sensitive personal archives — let users keep the originals, while the platform answers questions about them with citations.

Pilot

See it on your devices.

A pilot installs IndentiaLocal on a handful of laptops and one NAS, connects them to the platform, and shows you the search results — typically inside two weeks.
